What GIG is
Updated Sep 25, 2026
GIG is organized into six modules, and they always appear in the same order because that order is the path a job actually takes through the app — from collecting information, to staffing and running it, to closing out the money:
Forms → Data → Entity → Finance → Architect → Docs
- Forms collects information from outside the organization — applications, agreements, availability.
- Data is the spreadsheet layer: tables of rows you shape yourself.
- Entity is the people layer: the person records, their designations, and the gigs they are rostered onto.
- Finance turns that work into invoices, payments, payouts and reports.
- Architect is the production board where a job is laid out.
- Docs is the document library, and the thing you are reading now.
This order is fixed on purpose. An organization can rename any module — the label in your top bar may not match the names above — and can switch a module off entirely, so what you see may be a subset of the six. But whatever is visible always appears in this sequence; it never reorders itself, even after a module is switched off and back on.
Where things live
Some of these modules answer to more than one name inside the app. Use this to match what you see in the top bar to where its screen actually lives:
The six modules
| Module | What it is for | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| Entity | People: one record per person, their designation, their gigs and rosters. | /command/entity |
| Data | Spreadsheet tables you shape yourself: your own columns, your own rows. | /command/table |
| Forms | Collecting information from outside the organization — applications, agreements, availability. | /command/forms |
| Architect | The production board where a show is laid out block by block. | /command/architects |
| Finance | Catalog, invoices, payments, payouts, memberships and reports. | /command/finance |
| Docs | Documents, uploaded files, chips, and published help centres like this one. | /command/docs |
