Retention and deletion
Updated Aug 31, 2026
Trash windows
Documents spend 30 days in the trash before they are removed for good.
Files with no owner
Uploaded files whose record no longer exists are swept nightly.
What deletion does not remove
A roster keeps its own copy of who attended, so deleting a person does not rewrite a past gig.
What runs overnight
| Job | Runs at (UTC) | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Billing reconciliation | 04:45 daily | Compares what GIG believes against what Stripe reports, and corrects the difference. |
| Form attachment sweep | 04:00 daily | Removes uploaded files whose form submission no longer exists. |
| Architect asset sweep | 04:30 daily | Removes images whose board or block no longer exists. |
| Docs file sweep | 04:30 daily | Removes uploaded files whose document was permanently deleted after its 30 days in the trash. |
