Plans and seats
Updated Sep 27, 2026
GIG has four plans: Free, Crew, Production and Organization. Prices are in CAD, before tax, and every paid plan is one price for the whole organization — seats never cost extra, so adding or removing people never changes what you pay. GIG is invite-only today; once you're in, you choose a plan during onboarding or later in Settings → Billing.
All six modules are on every plan, Free included. What grows with the plan is how much you can run and how much of Finance you get.
Plans
| Plan | Price | Seats | What it includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Enterprise Beta | $79.99 per seat / month | Unlimited | Every module — Data, Entity, Architect with publishing, Finance — and contractor onboarding included. Beta pricing. |
| Rate Card (add-on) | $12.99 / year | — | Publish a shareable rate card on your GIG profile and send your rates to organizations. |
| Solo | Free | 2 | GIG profile and the Data module. 1 Architect project, 3 forms, 50 people. |
What counts as a seat
A team seat is someone who works inside your organization: the owner, admins, employees and staff. Staff take a seat once they're activated. Contractors never take a seat, on any plan, and everything contractors use is included on every plan.
Each plan has a seat limit: Free has 1 team seat, Crew up to 8, Production up to 10, and Organization starts at 25. A team that outgrows its plan moves to a bigger one. Once every seat is taken, GIG won't activate another staff member or move a contractor into a role that takes a seat, and Settings → Billing won't sell a plan your team is too big for — that plan's row says how many team seats it takes and how many you have.
Limits
Each plan also sets how much your organization can run: active gigs, people records, forms, Architect projects and, on Free, contractors. Settings → Billing shows what you've used against each one. At a limit, GIG stops you adding more and offers View plans, which opens Settings → Billing with the plans that hold more marked.
Discounts
- Registered non-profits and charities get 30% off once GIG has verified the registration. Write to billing@thegigapp.ca to ask.
- The first 25 organizations to buy a paid plan get 25% off for 24 months from their first paid checkout. It carries over if you switch plans, and still ends 24 months after that first checkout.
The two never stack — the bigger one applies. Discounts apply to plans only. When one applies, Settings → Billing names it beside the monthly and yearly choice, and the amount on the Subscribe button already has it taken off.
The payments fee
When your organization collects money through GIG on its own connected Stripe account — invoices and memberships — GIG takes a payments fee of 2% on Free, 1% on Crew, 0.5% on Production, and 0.25% or a negotiated rate on Organization. It is never more than $25 on one payment, has no fixed part, and comes on top of Stripe's own processing fees. See Connect Stripe to get paid.
Organization
Organization isn't bought in the app. It is set up with GIG, with a named contact: its row in Settings → Billing shows Talk to us, and the address to write to is billing@thegigapp.ca.
